About the home..

Regis Blackburn is a 202 bed residential home located within close proximity to shops, public transport and right next to the renowned Blackburn Lake Sanctuary, providing a view of wildlife and native birds in addition to a great working environment. A unique service to this home is that it also provides quality care to hearing impaired residents.

About the role..

This is a great opportunity for a process driven Clinician to work in a leading Aged Care organisation! We currently have a permanent part time position available for someone with great knowledge about ACFI, working 2 permanent shifts per week.

The key responsibilities..

  • Assisting in the resident assessment process
  • Maintaining and conducting ACFI Assessments while working closely with both Senior Management and Allied Health Professionals
  • ACFI assessments, maximising funding and reviewing ACFI processes to achieve best outcomes
  • ACFI documentation, ensuring all folders and trackers are accurate and up-to-date
  • Enter ACFI data into computer system and monitor expiry dates, annual reviews and new admissions
  • Maintain current ACFI knowledge and share information with the continuous delivery of training and education to all care staff- this guidance and support will focus
Your skills & experience will include..
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge regarding the ACFI framework
  • Proven experience in achieving ACFI targets
  • A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
  • Experience using a computerised Care Management System (desirable)
  • Outstanding computer literacy
To be eligible to join the team at Regis we require the following:
  • Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis' mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2021) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence to Regis' satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
