About the role

We are looking for experienced Level 1 RNs to join the Endoscopy Unit at Calvary Lenah Valley.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our L1 RNs form a key part of the nursing team to deliver on bedside care and the management of patients at Lenah Valley. Reponsibilities include conducting assessments and completing the appropriate paperwork, and effective communication with patients and their families regarding care, discharge procedures and follow up requirements. As an RN in Endoscopy, the role liaises and works closely with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders regarding patient care requirements, and informs management of any impact on organisational requirements.

We have permanent full and part time opportunities available for suitably qualified RNs.

What you bring

  • AHPRA registered, with a current practising nursing certificate
  • Demonstrated effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through the participation in education and training activities relevant to the field of clinical practice
  • Ability to apply effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team and to support the achievement of team goals and objectives
  • Competency in the use of computer applications relevant to the work area i.e. Word processing and clinical information systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of the rights of individuals/groups in the health care setting

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Endoscopy, anaesthetics, recovery or day procedure areas
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the formulation of care plans in collaboration with the registered nurse, for individuals and group
