St Basil’s WA is a small boutique provider and is a bit different to many other providers in that we recruit our staff on their nature as well as their skills. We value highly the qualities of kindness and warmth and see them as essential elements in all our job descriptions.

We are seeking expressions of interest from Domestic Assistants (cleaners) who are keen to join our Community Services team on a casual or permanent part timee basis supporting our clients to live independently in their own home.

As a Domestic Assistant with St Basils WA , it will be your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of clients personal homes, and to ensure clients are safe to avoid premature admission to residential care.

You will be required to drive from client to client and therefore it is a requirement of the role that you have a reliable vehicle and a current drivers license. Additionally you will need to be a self-starter and have a professional work ethic as this is an autonomous role with little supervision.

We are looking for individuals who are available to work Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 3.00pm, however we can be flexible with times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning of furniture, bathrooms, toilets & floors
  • Dispose of waste products appropriately
  • Maintain living areas in a clean, safe condition
  • Plan duties to ensure service is delivered in the time allocated
  • Meal preparation may be required
  • Shop by List if requested


  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of St Basils WA
  • Previous experience within a cleaning position; Cert 3 in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and their families
  • Good time mamangement skills
  • Ability to communicate any changes in the clients needs
  • Valid driver's licence, and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current Police Clearance or willingness to apply for one.
  • Available to attend paid compulsory meetings or training.
