About Oncology

Monash Health Oncology has a large Clinical Trials Unit and utilizes the Purpose Build State of the Art Clinical Trials Unit at the MHTP to implement new and exciting clinical trial opportunities for our Cancer patients. Our Clinical Trials Unit currently runs up to 130 clinical trials in all aspects of medical oncology, , and which offers patient-centric care to patients with complex needs. The unit is divided into 5 streams, Early Phase, Gi, GU, Breast/Gynae and Lung/other which have their own trial portfolio. These are dynamic and fast-paced teams, working in an ever-evolving developmental area of both targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. A strong collaboration between the unit, the trial sponsors, and Monash Health is required in planning, coordinating and implementing trials to ensure the best possible care for trial patients.

About the Role

Oncology Research is based at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, are we currently expanding our trials portfolio to meet the demands and hence are looking for a Ethics Administrator to join our busy Clinical Trials team. Applicants must have some relevant experience in Ethics and clinical trials to be considered. Applicants can either be a Registered Nurse or a Science Graduates.

Oncology Clinical Trials Unit is a fast paced intense area, and the role of the Ethics Coordinators is integral in the set up, management and conduct of research and clinical trials both sponsored, collaborative and investigator led clinical trials.

We need a highly adaptive individuals who are capable of working both in a team but also need to be self motivated enough to able to work independently, utilizing both their administrative, clinical and data management skills.

Day to day coordination of a number of clinical trials within a stream
Communicate with team leads, management, investigators and outside vendors
Ensure that all trials are conducted safely and in accordance with Monash Health values and ICH GCP guidelines

Have you have been developing your oncology / clinical trials skills or you are an accomplished Ethics Coordinator either way, you are ready to take this next step in your Career.
