The Opportunity

We are currently looking for 2 motivated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Uro-Gynaecology department. Training and support will be offered to right candidates. A. St. Vincent's private Hospital Sydney, Registered Nurses work within a team based model delegating care to Enrolled Nurses and assistant in Nursing.

These are permanent part-time positions to cover a 7 days rotating roster with flexibility across all rostered shifts and a permanent night duty. Night duty shifts commences at 21:30pm to 7:30am.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Delivery of nursing care in an acute clinical setting
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • To assist patients in achieving their goals of care
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve best patient outcomes

The Skills and Experience Required

  • Authority to practice nursing with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in specialty (or working towards same) is highly desired.
  • Previous experience in acute care surgical setting, preferably with urology and gynaecology clinical background.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High-level computer literacy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisplinary team.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.

Essential requirements

  • SVHA has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in healthcare settings. You are therefore required to comply with the SVHA Staff Health Screening Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations).
  • A National Criminal History Check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
