JOB DESCRIPTION

We are building a dynamic and professional care support team to assist and care for a warm, positive, amazing and fun-loving lady.

I suffered multiple stroke's which has left me in an electric powered wheelchair with hemiplegia. Whilst I do have some mobility, I do need assistance with physical aspects of my day to day living. I now need support with activities such as, but not limited to:

  • Personal Care - showering, toiling, dressing etc
  • Food preparation
  • Housework
  • Traveling to and from appointments
  • Assistance with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy
  • Assistance with Social outings and events
  • Help achieve personal goals
  • Over all running of the household

Some of my personal goals that you would be a part of are:

  • Continuing my progress with strengthening my body to be able to walk assisted.
  • continuing to be more involved in the running of the house: paying bills, grocery shopping and food preparation.
  • Getting out of the house to attend various activities such as; movies, shopping, bowling.
  • Contributing to my community

Due to my physical limitations, all tasks require TWO support workers at all times during the shift.

To be successful in this position you will also need to have:

  • a current WWVP card -minimum certificate III in aged care or disability
  • manual handling or be willing to complete the course
  • current first aid certificate
  • full open unrestricted drivers licence
  • good driver and very good driving record 

The shifts we currently have available are:

The shifts currently available range from Monday to Saturday both day and evening. The hours of the shifts can alter slightly but typically are 8 to 10 hours with the average finish time being 5-6pm. 

The evening shifts are currently 4.30pm-9pm 

Shifts are subject to slight start and finish time changes. Sleepover shifts are also part of rostering on an irregular basis as well as interstate travel. 

As this is a casual position you may be required for hours including but not limited to day time, evening and sleepover shifts both weekday’s and weekend’s. We are looking for someone with availability across these shifts.
