Employment Type: Maximum Term Part time
Hours per week: 24 hours per week
Position Grade: Health Services Manager Level 1
Salary: $44,642.52 - $60,053.76 (pro rata) per annum

Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists in the Kinghorn Cancer Centre unit for a highly motivated health services manager with appropriate knowledge and skills and a passion for Wellness in Cancer to join our friendly and supportive team.

The Wellness Centre Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wellness Centre, ensuring appropriate processes are in place for its smooth running. The position is a point of contact for the practitioners to facilitate and manage operational issues as they arise. In addition they will be an advocate for cancer patients to assist in improving their health and wellbeing by establishing quality improvement activities on their cancer journey. They will also assist with recruiting of practitioners; ensuring correct credentialing processes are being followed. They will promote the service internally and externally with key stakeholders by coordinating support groups and programs for cancer patients.

Selection Criteria

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Relevant health degree and/or work experience with an understanding and demonstrated achievement in wellbeing or health promotion/education.

3. Demonstrated understanding of current issues in cancer care or chronic illness, as evidenced by experience
4. Understanding of regulatory requirements around complementary therapists, allied health funding models
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with sound diplomatic skills.

6. Managerial skills, demonstrating experience in management of resources and the ability to work autonomously, completing work with minimal supervision.

7. Knowledge and commitment to best practice, quality improvement and innovation

8. Experience in managing the conflicting needs of external and internal stakeholders with an ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
