About the role

Calvary North Adelaide Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced enrolled nurses to work in the operating theatres and/or the pre-operative waiting area. We are an incredibly supportive department that has a dedicated focus on our staff and patients.

The Enrolled Nurse is:

  • Accountable for the safe delivery of patient care.
  • Supportive and engaging with a strong focus on culture, education, and team building.
  • Practising within organisational philosophies and guidelines.
  • Being aware of those duties which the Enrolled Nurse is unable to undertake due to regulations of the Nurses Board of South Australia, the position description and hospital policies.

The successful applicant will be team focused.

Our department offers both a supportive and dynamic work environment with a range of clinical specialties.

The enrolled nurse works under the delegation of the Registered Nurse to ensure best outcomes for their patients.

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices relating to perioperative nursing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management and WH&S.
