Role: Senior Project Officer (until 31 Decemeber 2021)

Position Summary:

  • Works with the Reporting Manager and other Intelligence Managers to achieve team objectives.
  • Provides project management for implementation of projects, as directed by Manager, and the Directors, Reporting & Portfolio Projects (RAPP).
  • Engages with the RAPP Managers and other stakeholders to understand and deliver on project requirements.
  • Contributes to the development of new or improved public health surveillance reporting.
  • Other coordination and project roles across RAPP, as required.


  • Provide project support to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives
  • Utilise and support development of project management tools and templates to drive project delivery
  • Liaise with RAPP leads and the Principal Epidemiologist to support the provision of new surveillance reporting products.
  • Provide quality assurance on data collation and input to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Monitor and evaluate projects to ensure departmental objectives are met
  • Engage other intelligence teams and operations on project management requirements and processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders on DIME reporting products
  • Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach to project delivery.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to quality and processes.
