About the role

To provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the local facility and support Facility Manager / Care Manager on daily operation.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Provide information and advice to visitors seeking information about the local facility.
  • Answering and directing phone calls to relevant personnel and taking and distributing messages as required.
  • Ordering nursing home supplies. Keep records of goods purchased and delivered.
  • Maintain files systems up to date.
  • Prepare relevant documentation for each new employee.
  • Assist in a new admission, prepare relevant documents, organise photo and name tag for new residents
  • Display a pleasant and courteous manner at all times in the workplace

Qualifications and Skills

About the Successful Applicant

Essential:

  • Experienced working in administrative /clerical role
  • Demonstrated good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Demonstrated good telephone manner and good interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy including knowledge and competency in basic Microsoft applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WH&S, EEO and anti-discrimination legislative requirements.
  • National Police Clearance
  • Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency

Desirable:

  • Experience in an aged care facility
  • High verbal communication skills that reflect this position
  • Speak fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English and with good literacy skills
  • Experience in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations
