About the Role ...

The Quality Officer is is responsible for effectively coordinating the delivery of the CAC quality systems in consultation with the Manager and key stakeholders achieving compliance within Accreditation standards and governance requirements. The position identifies trends, opportunity for improvement as well as gaps and makes appropriate recommendations to the Business Manager and Quality Manager.

This position is responsible for providing a high standard of expert quality compliance knowledge within aged care including have excellent knowledge of clinical compliance, assessments, Care Plans, and accurate documentation to ensure a high standard of care. This position also provides a high level of consultation and ability to educate care teams.

About you ...

You are a highly organised and self-motivated individual with excellent clinical knowledge, attention to detail - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of skills in educating of teams in compliance with quality documentation, interpersonal and excellent communication ability and empathy and compassion too.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

Essential skills and competencies:

  • Current registration AHPRA Registered Nurse 
  • Experience in a quality position in an aged care home
  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Exceptional Clinical care knowledge and skills 
  • Experience doing audits and with Clinical systems preferred E-Case
  • Presenting at staff meetings, training on clinical governance
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service
  • Computer and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated practice of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
  • A good understanding of the Aged Care Standards, documentation requirements, accreditation and ACFI requirements
  • An understanding of continuous improvement and OH&S
  • Current police check

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Further education in either Quality Compliance, the Standards, Accreditation.
  • Work experience of 1 year or more in aged care as a Clinical professional.

Salary: Depending on qualifications per the Enterprise Agreement Classifications
