About the opportunity:

Reporting into the Group FP&A Director, we are looking for a Project Lead to join on a 12-month basis to manage the local programme workstreams of a global Finance planning project, due to take place over 2021 and 2022.

The role the Finance Planning Project Lead will be to work with the Group FPA team and other key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of local milestones to support the global implementation of Oracle for business planning.

As an experienced FPA or Finance Systems professional, you will have a strong understanding of a typical budget planning cycle and finance planning systems as an enabler of this process. You will be comfortable working with the senior leaders of the business unit finance teams to ensure the scope and requirements of the driver-based planning processes are captured and embedded into the new Oracle system.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilites:

  • Work with finance systems to ensure the future state data model aligns with existing finance systems and meets the needs of the business' planning requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate future state design of driver based planning solution, through requirements gathering of existing processes and review of business rules.
  • Manage the technical design and build of the driver-based planning models into Oracle and ensure functionality is robust through the coordination of user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate training materials and manager overall change programme across finance for the implementation of the new application
  • Lead local Project steering committee, working with the local and global Project Managers to ensure milestones are delivered in accordance with project schedules.
  • Project risks and issues are raised with project sponsor and working groups to ensure there is a coordinated response to remediate

You will be/have:-

  • Degree qualified - Finance / Business or similar
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • Finance Systems experience with Oracle/Hyperion/Peoplesoft, SAP or TM1 preferable
  • Significant demonstrated experience (7+ Years) in the areas of Financial Management and reporting
  • Experience in working with annual finance planning and forecast models and processes from an operational and finance systems perspective
  • Proven ability to manage/support change programs with particular experience working on finance process and systems projects
  • Strong analytical skills, seasoned business judgment and commercial acumen
  • Ability to synthesise business outcomes
