The role

We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the friendly team at Willandra Village on a part time [22.5 hours] basis. Located in Cromer in Sydney's Northern beaches, Willandra Village in set on 11 acres and is home to 225 independant living units, 41 serviced apartments and 90 bungalows. As the Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of the residential living and shared spaces of Willandra Village Retirement Community, working in accordance with health and safety guidelines and providing a support service that enhances our customer's wellbeing in their home.

What you will be doing

  • Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties
  • Developing and implementing a preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance program
  • Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors and staff
  • Maintenance of the shared spaces; cobwebbing, high pressure cleaning, ensuring a high standard of presentation
  • Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate
About you
  • Previous maintenance experience. Trade background/qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of OHS requirements with a strong resident and safety focus
  • Previous experience in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel environment advantageous
  • A service, solution and preventative approach with strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management/ordering systems
  • Availability to work part time Monday - Wednesday, 9:00-5:00
