About the role:

To align with global ambition, an opportunity now exists for a Business Development Manager (BDM). This is a senior position reporting directly to the Sales Director.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for implementing the sales business strategy though a variety of channels focusing on pharmacy banners, hospital & aged care. The BDM will contribute to the national sales targets as well as the sustainable and profitable growth of the entire business.

About you:

You are positive, highly energized and an experienced BDM. You are looking to make an impact and step into a Sales Director role and beyond. You are experienced in managing pharmacy banner groups, hospital, aged care and medical key accounts, driving market share growth of your portfolio. You are successful in driving incremental sales on top of a strong existing base. You are currently responsible for shaping and implementing the marketing plan with your customers to achieve market share & volume targets with the support of internal and external stakeholders. You are seeking a challenge and would like to achieve your career ambitions with an organisation that rewards and promotes from within.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Minimum 5+ years Sales and account management skills in both retail pharmacy (pharmacy banner groups), hospital and aged care with previous experience in pharmaceutical / medical devices / OTC / healthcare / diagnostics; preferably with a multinational company
  • Strong track record of delivering results (proven statistically)
  • Experienced in the national tender process within the pharmacy, hospital and aged care sectors a must
  • Ability to build a deep customer intelligence and strong network with key stakeholders
  • Know customer profiles and deliver customer centricity
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good financial and business acumen
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional teams, as well as network internally and externally
