The Role
We are seeking to appoint a hospitality professional with cooking qualifications and team leadership experience to a full time Executive Chef position. You will be responsible for developing and delivering nutritious meals to our residents to both our Windsor Street and Korongee sites.

You will be responsible for:

  • Offering our residents a varied, healthy and well balanced diet and support individual preferences
  • Meet their nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Management of all food preparation and cooking activities
  • Implement and maintain all infection control and safe food handling procedures
  • Leading, coaching and development of the current team
  • Liaising with our residents, their families and the boarder Glenview teams as required
  • Timely and accurate completion of all
  • required documentation and reporting
  • Maintaining legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
  • Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs

About You

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is essential
  • Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs
  • Previous experience in total kitchen operations in an aged care (or similar) environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a team
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Impeccable, genuine, friendly & professional customer service
  • Knowledge of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards & Outcomes
  • A motivated, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude
