Veterans Home Care Coordinator - Mitcham
12 month Term Opportunity With View to Extend

The Position:

Our organisation is growing and we have a number of full time opportunities for a suitably qualified professional to join our friendly Veterans Home Care (VHC) Assessment Team at our new Blackburn Office. The position will be for a 12 month term, with the possibility to extend for an additional 12 months.

 Reporting to the VHC Assessment Manager, your primary responsibility is to assess eligible members of the Veteran community and provide appropriate coordination of their needs. We are seeking candidates who can deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients, and share the Benetas values of Respect, Responsibility, Community and Spirit.

You have the following:

  • Degree qualifications in nursing or allied health (e.g. social worker, physiotherapist or occupational)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the aged or community care sector;
  • Customer focused approach with good work ethic, empathy and integrity;
  • Demonstrated staff and client management skills, and
  • Experience in community care coordination;
  • A solution-focused approach;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence;
  • Ability to speak a language other than English (desirable).
