Join the passionate T-Basis Team based at the Tamworth Hospital with this temporary full-time opportunity for a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse. 

The TBasis unit is a 16 bed specialist behavioural unit for patients suffering with the behaviours and psychological symptoms associated with dementia. The strong, nursing-led team assists in the assessment and formulation of a treatment and intervention plan for patients that ensures patients and their families leave the service with more education, supports and control around their care plan. They work closely with a number of stakeholders within the New England community and provide a specialist service across Hunter New England District. The close-knit team works together toward a shared goal of providing excellent care for their patients.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care within the unit ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. You will be supported in this position through mentorship and guidance provided by the Unit's senior and experienced staff including the Nurse Unit Manager and the Clinical Nurse Consultant.

Our successful candidate will be a suitably skilled Registered Nurse who is kind, caring and gentle and values respect, inclusiveness and innovation in their nursing practice. You will be passionate about providing aged care to your community and will enjoy working with patients and the team in a fun, caring and supportive environment.

Job share arrangements will be considered.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
