Salary: $64,377.92 - $90,394.15 per annum plus superannuation

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the Operating Theatres for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Scrub Scout team. St Vincent’s Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre and has 9 Operating theatres for surgical specialties such as Cardiothoracic and Transplant, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, Head and Neck, ENT, Plastic and Reconstructive surgeries.

Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work a full rotating roster, including weekends, afternoon shifts, some on-call and Night duty.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
3. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
4. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
5. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6.Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
7. Demonstrated experience in acute care setting such as operating theatres or other relevant area
