About the Role

As a Senior Para Planner you will be responsible for formulating financial plans and targeted plans for clients who have complex financial portfolios. This role will also see you provide training and support to Para Planners and Planning Assistants within the team as well as working with other Senior members of the team to drive continual improvements.

Duties

  • Manage high complexity client financial portfolios
  • Facilitate regular training to Para Planners and Assistants to ensure knowledge transfer
  • Perform quality review checks in consultation with other Senior members of the team
  • Achieve revenue/volume production targets as part of a team effort
  • Liaise with key stakeholders
  • Consult with relevant internal stakeholders regarding risks arising from client portfolios
  • Adhere to ASIC and FPA compliance guidelines and requirements
  • Satisfy internal and external audit standards

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma of Financial Planning or equivalent and satisfy the RG 146 requirements
  • Certificate of Financial Planning and/or Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning qualified
  • Extensive experience as a seasoned Para Planner
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with different stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience to prepare clear and structured recommendation on complex matters
  • Sound computer literacy including the ability to use Microsoft Office tools

A good understanding of superannuation, aged care advice, property advice, annuities, social security and taxation issues along with experience to coach and mentor others and hands on experience in X-plan/X-tools will be highly regarded.
