Role: Data Manager (until 31 December 2021)

Position Summary:

Support data cleaning and maintenance activities relating to the epidemiological analysis of specific COVID-19 cohorts across Victoria (e.g. healthcare, aged care, education).

Provide operational support in relation to the management of data fields in CRM to ensure timely and accurate epidemiological analyses.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage daily data cleaning processes.
  • Carry out data-related tasks assigned by the Cohorts Pod Leads and Managers.
  • Assist with training and upskilling of Cohorts staff for data-related activities.
  • Ongoing development and documentation of processes.
    • Liaise with the Report Development team to manage R code and Power BI outputs.
  • Assist with identifying new data-related projects and initiatives.
  • Understand and adhere to timeframes for specific tasks.
  • Project governance and documentation to track projects undertaken by the Cohorts Pods.
  • Understand and adhere to existing processes within the Cohorts Pods and assist with creating new processes where needed.
  • Identify data-related risks to ongoing Epidemiology & Analysis tasks.
  • Technical assistance to develop and train epidemiologists for the CRM.
  • Assist in training the Cohorts staff and developing process guides (i.e. SOP's) for the CRM.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for COVID-19 data and information from both internal COVID-19 response teams and external stakeholders.
