What You'll Be Doing

Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes.

Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

The provision of psychiatric services to admitted consumers within Mental Health Adult Inpatient Unit.

You will be employed by Southern NSW Local Health District. The position is primarily located at Bega. Secondary appointments within other facilities may occur by mutual agreement.

  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist in Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
