The Royal Melbourne Hospital

As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team

  • Support our staff in the early recovery from injury and early return to work
  • Support our managers in identifying appropriate duties allowing employees to make a full recovery after sustaining a workplace injury
  • Implementing best practice policies and processes
  • Embed a positive safety culture

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Utilise your skills and experience to support our employees following a work place injury
  • Embed a culture of early support and return to work opportunities
  • Provide leadership to managers in implementing safe and durable return to work options and outcomes
  • Utilise your assessment, problem solving skills
  • Provide strategic advice and education to ensure best practice and contemporary models of injury management support are provided.

Your Contribution

  • Experience in injury management / vocational rehabilitation
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology / Rehabilitation / counselling or related field
  • Positive attitude and engaging manner to build confidence and trust in stakeholders
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
