ABOUT THE ROLE: Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking a Registred Nurse for our 32 bed - Acute Surgical Ward, to provide quality patient centred care to patients and their families utilising an holistic approach. Our ward cares for a variety of specialties, including Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, Colorectal, Orthopaedic and General Surgery. 

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public health service located in the Western region of Melbourne in the centre of Austrlaia's fastest growing suburban growth corridor. This is an exciting time to join Werribee Mercy with current and furture developments. In 2018, our services grew with the commissioning of our new multif-sotrey acute services building, including additional Theatres, Wards and an Adult Intensive Care Unit.


  • Permanent Full-time and Part-time positions available (1.9 EFT)
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally with other departments, and with external stakeholders to facilitate quality client-focussed patient centred-care
  • Form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide highly responsibe and flexible service to patients and care
  • Role Model behaviours and practice within the core values of Mercy Health, while upholding a high level of professionalism
  • Friendly and supportive staff
  • Ability to work across a flexible 24/7 roster


  • Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 
  • Experience in Acute Surgical Nursing would be highly regarded Certificate/Diploma 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong attention to detail an critical thinking skills
