About Us

Glenview is a standalone, not for profit, community focussed organisation, and a leader in the field. Glenview recently launched the first dementia village – Korongee - in Tasmania and has been recognised by Alzheimer’s Disease International in their World Alzheimer Report 2020.

About the Position

Glenview has recently increased the provision of social and respite support to people living in the community. We require a team of dedicated staff to fill a 24 hour roster of active support. Applicants will need to be creative, fun, able to engage a diverse range of clients, and be available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and provide active overnight support. The service is in it’s building phase, so successful applicants will be part of growing a new team, with opportunity to participate in program planning and exploring new ways to provide a fun and safe environment for the people we support.

About you
  • Completion of Certificate III in Aged Care or higher
  • Previous experience in an aged care setting or working with older people
  • Able to foster and deliver a person-centred approach to care
  • Experience working with software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and use of various devices such as smart phones, tablets and TV’s etc.
  • Specific knowledge and experience in dementia care
  • Previous experience in a Community services environment would be advantageous
  • Registration to work with vulnerable people
  • Current driver’s license
  • Desirable to hold a Medication Qualification
