An opportunity is currently available for a Management Accountant.

Your role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for accounting and financial functions within the organisation including but not limited to month end reconciliations, accruals, expense allocations and the preparation of financial reports to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

Duties

  • Accounting and financial advice to CEO.
  • Month end accruals and expense allocation journals.
  • Formulation of accounting and budgetary policies meeting all regulatory, statutory and legislative standards.
  • Monthly analysis and financial performance to the Finance Committee.
  • Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
  • Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
  • Taxation.
  • Appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.

Minimum requirement to the role

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced Excel.
  • Ability to generate performance, variance and management reports along with the ability to delve into data to draw financial insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving with an inquisitive approach.
  • A strong understanding of ACFI funding in aged care.
