We currently require Community Support Workers for Western Suburbs of Adelaide. (include the areas between Outer Harbour - Hallett Cove - Mitcham)

The position:

  • Support our customers to live good lives in their own homes
  • Deliver a range of 'in-home' and/or other aged care services according to the care requirements and care plans of each customer
  • Enable each customer to have the opportunity to succeed at the activities of daily living which promote dignity, respect and maintain the customers' quality of life and abilities
  • Maintain and ensure completion of all documentation, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Utilise well developed communication, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Support and implement ACH Groups promise of Good Lives for Older People

Duties may include:

  • Cleaning
  • Personal support such as showering, toileting and assisting with activities of daily living
  • Meal preparation
  • Transport
  • Respite
  • Social support

About You!

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Share the ACH Group culture and values
  • Fluent in English language both written and verbal
  • Must be available from Monday to Friday
  • Ability to work short shifts
  • Willingness to travel between customers' homes and attend site base training
  • Administrative and computer skills
  • Ability to operate a smart phone
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Applicants must hold:

  • Motor Vehicle License (Full C Class, Provisional or International)
  • Relevant Certificate III
  • A registered and insured motor vehicle with minimum third party property damage insurance
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Must be able to provide a Road Worthy Certificate for your vehicle
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance - no older than 12 months (or be willing to obtain)
  • Successful Support Workers will need to complete the NDIS training course and present the certificate before commencement of employment: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course

Successful applicants will require a satisfactory DCSI/DHS Disability Services Employment screening that complies with ACH Group guidelines - (this will be provided by ACH Group)
