JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Employment Status: Permanent Full Time Position (will consider Part-time position)
  • Location: Metro North Allied Health (Brisbane North and Moreton Bay regions)
  • Remuneration: Professional Officer 2 L1 – L4 (FTE $64,975 - $79,102 based on experience) + 9.5% Super + Annual Leave loading + NFP Salary Packaging + Employee Benefits
Blue care is actively inviting applications from Podiatrists keen to join our dynamic Metro North Allied Health team on a Full time basis or Part time basis.

This position is open to new grads or podiatrists with some experience looking for a great opportunity to secure an exciting permanent position where you will be exposed to a varied caseload of adult clients, including both disability and ageing customers.

Your Role

You’ll work with our well established multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver the highest standard of care and podiatry treatment using a person-centred approach with a varied caseload. Your main aim will be to maintain and encourage client independence in addition to considering their physical and social wellbeing. You will have support from admin and Allied Health Assistants to make bookings, complete any billing and sterilise equipment.

Responsibilities Include
  • Willingness to work within Philosophy, Policies and Procedures of Blue Care and the Uniting Church of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency in Podiatry assessment and treatment of community dwelling customers presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care, disability and health and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency in appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping into computer programs.
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills particularly in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, customers and their carers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage individual caseload whilst meeting service and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognise other needs that Blue Care can assist customers with and provide relevant and timely referrals

  • Regular catch up with AH team Coordinator to ensure you are supported in your position.

A Bit About You

You will be driven to make a difference in the lives of our clients and be knowledgeable and experienced within the aged care sector or enthusiastic to learn.

You will be well-versed on contemporary theories and treatments and take a continuous improvement approach toward your professional endeavours.

You Will Present With
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Podiatry
  • Current AHPRA Registration and membership of professional body
  • Current Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
