Position Summary

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Social Worker with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to provide assessment and psychological therapy, work collaboratively with people across the inpatient setting, as well as local non-government organisations.

The provision of best practice working with a range of mental health issues and consumers with multiple social and economic complexities.

The role will promote recovery and minimise any possible disability associated with mental illness.

Ensure that consumers and /or carers participate in the development and implementation of their own treatment/management plans.

Participate in initial assessment of people presenting in a psychiatric emergency and/or in crisis.
