The Position

Position Title: LifeStyle Co-ordinator
Classification: ID5
Salary per hour: $30.53
Hours per fortnight: 60
Employment Status: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the development of activities programs for the Unit
Provide comfort and safety of residents during lifestyle activities & diversional therapies
Support and promote residents continuing links with the wider community
Compile care plans, profiles & supporting documentation for residents

Key Requirements:
Certificate in Leisure & Lifestyle OR experience in activities and diversional therapy programs for residential care
Certificate in Food Handling or equivalent
Passion and interest in working with clients who have a cognitive impairment and those living with dementia

Essential:
01.Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (or equivalent) and/or experience in activities and diversional therapy programs for residential care

Desirable:
04.Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal, sound computer knowledge and skills

Desirable:
05.Passion to work with clients have cognitive impairment and an interst in Dementia care

06.Well-developed organisational and time management skills

Desirable:
07.Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Desirable:
08.Demonstrated understanding of the social, cultural and human needs of residents within an aged residential setting

Desirable:
09.Knowledge and demonstrated ability in documentation requirements for residential aged care

Desirable:
10.Demonstrated awareness of current trends in relation to lifestyle activities in aged care
