About Your New Role

Your new role as “Head of Allocations” will see you appointed to an exciting and newly created role, where through effective and efficient rostering and scheduling services, you will support the changing demands and growth of our customers and workforce and ensure high quality and safe delivery of care..

This includes establishing capability to develop, design, implement, monitor, systematise and continuously improve scheduling strategies to support patterned rosters with a focus on continuity of care to meet their defined wellbeing plan requirements, and ensuring all employment and Australian Unity regulatory frameworks are adhered to.

Pivotal to your success will be your collaboration with the Home Care Operations leadership team to ensure budget, workforce, quality standards and customer objectives are achieved through strong partnership and commitment to delivering a high performing function.

What Does Your New Role Look Like?

  • Develop a capable and responsible function with an energetic and resilient culture that lives our desired cultural aspiration of ‘one way of working’.
  • Oversee workforce capacity to ensure required Allocators are available, capable and fully trained and supported to deliver.
  • Actively lead the function to ensure sustainable achievement of local, region and business unit objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs to standardise scheduling practice across the function aligned to policy and procedure.
  • Define, develop and utilise reporting to monitor achievement of objectives against KPIs.
  • Lead and innovate the ongoing development of practices to continuously improve performance of the function.
  • Adhere to WHS obligations and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting meets relevant timeframes, standards, guidelines and legislation including 1997 Aged Care Act, Home Care standards etc.
  • Ensure adherence to funding contract requirements during the course of service delivery.

About You
  • You will have a strong background in logistics management and scheduling.
  • You will have well developed leadership skills with the ability to manage in a complex decentralised, matrix organisation
  • You will have strong commercial acumen with experience converting insights into outcomes to deliver desired performance results
  • You will have solid previous experience leading and managing a similar function, including rostering and scheduling services within a highly customer centric organisation
  • You will be a highly accomplished People Leader, who can coach, develop and drive high level performance within your teams
  • You will be competent using MS Suite and online rostering and resource management technology/systems
  • You will be able to develop and Inspire great initiatives within your team and function to drive positive business change outcomes
  • You will have experience in recognising and reporting on financial impacts of performance and how they impact the wider business
  • You will be a constant innovator of effective new business improvements and able to design and deliver the processes to support.
