The Juniper Community Team are currently seeking to employ an confident and reliable After Hours Roster Officer to assist in supporting outside of normal office hours calls and enquires. The purpose of this role is to ensure our care and services continue to be responsive and timely, enabling our clients to lead safe and independent lives in their own homes.

This position would suit someone who is available during the week from 5pm - 9pm and or weekends within the hours of 6am - 9pm ( rotation roster )

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in an ‘After Hours Roster’ to ensure that all phone calls received outside of normal office hours are answered promptly.
  • Address any service delivery demands resulting from staff absences through identifying alternate staff members or other options for resolving such issues.
  • Ensure records of all calls and actions taken regarding services are maintained and reported appropriately in the after‐hours report.
  • Ensure any clinical concerns or queries are escalated appropriately, either to Juniper Clinical Staff or relevant health providers.
Demonstrated Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required
  • Knowledge and experience within a community care environment and aged care (desirable).
  • Knowledge on using Procura (desirable).
  • Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to deal effectively with people over the telephone and deliver information in a succinct and empathetic manner.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and remain calm when under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability in PC skills, office administration, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
