JOB DESCRIPTION

Clinical Lead in a small rehabilitation centre in South Hedland. Oversee holistic care in a therapeutic setting. Option for contract or permanent!

This not for profit organisation is the largest provider of community services in the Pilbara. They are a multi-functional, multi-funded organisation and offer a comprehensive suite of services including Drug & Alcohol services, youth and family programs and community and aged care services.

The position:
  • Option for the role to be contract (minimum of 3 months) or permanent
  • Work in a 25 bed rehabilitation centre built in 2014, offering numerous organised activities.
  • Support, provide direction and clinical supervision to a team of AOD Practitioners, Support Workers and Volunteers
  • Oversee the running and integrity of the “Community as Method” therapy program, ensuring all mental and physical issues of clients are addressed
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and ensure all programs operate within contractual requirements
  • Embed yourself in the community; developing relationships with external stakeholders and agencies to develop brand and service awareness
  • Conduct interviews and assessments with potential clients and coordinate and schedule admissions
  • Maintain the running of services within funding requirements and annual budgets

About you:
  • Hold a degree as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, Behavioural Scientist or Counsellor and hold registration with the relevant governing body (if relevant)
  • Must have experience working in a drug and alcohol treatment setting
  • Demonstrated ability providing clinical supervision to case managers and other clinical staff
  • Experience working in the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander health sector is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to network, develop relationships and write reports and maintain client records
