As part of our continued growth, we are now seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join our team focusing on Mixed-Use Development

What This Job Involves

The Assistant Development Manager key responsibilities with include (but not limited to):

1. Engagement with key stakeholders to accurately report on the project progress, risks and mitigation strategies.

2. Assisting in preparation and monitoring of development programmes, budgets, resourcing, timelines and cash flow projections.

3. Management of key consultants ensuring quality is achieved at all times;

4. Design Management including coordination of Authority Approvals (i.e. SSDA, DA etc).

5. Engagement with Urban Planning firms.

6. Coordination of project procurements (consultant and contractors) ensuring probity and governance is maintained at all times;

7. Coordination of commercial negotiations with a key understanding of best industry practice to inform preferred outcomes for the client;

8. Tracking and monitoring the project performance against key short-term and long-term milestones; and

9. Management of key WHS initiatives of all representatives on the project ensuring awareness of expectations at all times.

We can provide you the opportunity to learn & broaden your skill set and experience in a dynamic team environment. Managing tight deadlines, working autonomously, providing timely accurate reports and effectively managing a variety of stakeholders are all critical aspects of this role.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful;

· Degree qualification in Property & Construction or other related discipline.

· 2-5+ years of industry experience in development management or relevant fields.

· Health and Aged Care Feasibility experience preferred.

· Advanced knowledge in feasibility development and assessment, in particular, Estate Master modelling.

· Ability to work autonomously.

· Ability to lead and develop a team in both fluid and fast pace environments.

· Highly organised and a key attention to detail.

· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

· Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to build strong, positive professional relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

· Advanced knowledge of core Microsoft packages including Project and Excel.

· Confidence to build a network with industry colleagues to develop your personal brand within the industry.

· General attributes including communication skills, building & fostering successful relationships with your clients as well as your resilience & ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
