Anglicare Southern Queensland's Manly team provides an exciting lifestyle program and we are looking for a Part-Time Lifestyle Assistant to join our Manly Residential Aged Care Facility.

About The Role

Our lifestyle assistants are a key part of our services. Helping with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities/lifestyle programs enables residents to participate in various experiences. Improving the quality of life of our residents with a person-centered approach to care.

We are offering between 60-70 hours per fortnight to help support our diversional therapy and lifestyle team.

  • What we are looking for:

    To enable us to continue to provide the highest quality, person-centered care we are looking for someone with the following:
    • Proven background in planning, conducting, and evaluating activity and diversional therapy programs
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people including staff, management, and residents in a professional and friendly manner
    • Commitment to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the service and yourself
    • Dedication to working within the Residential Aged Care sector to improve and enhance the lives of residents
    • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and to manage your own workload
    • Alongside the following qualifications & credentials:
      • A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
      • Current First Aid and CPR certification
      • Current 2020 Flu Vaccinations, with supporting documentation
      • A current National Police Certificate
      • Queensland Driver Licence
      • Capability to meet the physical requirements of the role
