    About The Role

    As a Lifestyle Assistant you will provide support to the Lifestyle Coordinator at mecwacare Elstoft House, a 91 – bed facility. You will assist in maintaining active and independent lives of our residents through the development and implementation of activity plans developed by the Lifestyle Coordinator.

    What You Need For The Role
    • Certificate III in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) and/or relevant qualification at Certificate III level
    • Previous experience in a similar role in residential aged care or community setting
    • Ability to contribute to the assessment of each residents social and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual lifestyle programs to meet their needs
    • An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people
    • Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, delegate and attend to multiple tasks
    • Well-developed communication skills
    • Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Records Check
    • Current Australian Drivers Licence
    • Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
