About the business

Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is a not-for-profit aged care and community service provider that was established in July 2014. ARRCS operate residential aged care facilities and community care support programs within communities across the Northern Territory including Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Mutitjulu and Docker River.

About the role

ARRCS Community Care programs deliver disability and aged care services 365 days across the Northern Territory. We now have 2 permanent opportunities for Systems Support Officers to join Community Care and be based in Darwin or Alice Springs.

The role of System Support Officer is responsible for providing support and advice to the Community Team in all aspects of the operational use of internal and external systems and applications within Community Services. The Support Officer is accountable to promote and drive the use of internal systems and application, training and development, system implementation and resource management. This position also drives the continuous improvement and business change to support performance through best practise and system development.

Skills and experience - essential

Certificate in Information Technology or similar
Knowledge and experience to convey information to influence, guide and mentor employees. With a high level of stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legislation and develop sound internal and external working relationships and networks.
Demonstrated advanced time management, communication and administration skills where initiative is demonstrated for completing assigned tasks.
Demonstrated ability in the use of IT or Health Care databases, including Desktop Support, MS Word, Excel and other online client reporting systems
Demonstrated ability to respond and adapt to competing priorities whilst working unsupervised
Demonstrated ability to empathise with Aged People, their families and Personal Carers
Travel - Ability to travel with overnight stays between Darwin / Alice Springs
Current NT Drivers’ license
First aid certificate and/or ability to obtain and hold
OCHRE Card and/or ability to obtain and hold
Flu Vaccination and/or ability to obtain and hold
National Police Check and/or ability to obtain and hold

Skills and experience - desirable

System knowledge and experience with Procura or CommCare
Previous experience working for a healthcare/community services or NFP organisation
