What we do

Jewish Care Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. Services include Aged Residential Care, Assessment Referral and Individual Support Services, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services and Holocaust Survivors Programs.

The role

This is an exciting time to be a part of our Bluestar Team, having achieved enormous growth and demand during this year. The Rostering Coordinator role is a full-time opportunity, second in charge to our Rostering Manager.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about giving back to the community, while working in a fast-paced team environment.

This role is central to providing quality care and services to our community aged care clients through effective rostering of our BlueStar support worker team. You will be a point of contact to our clients and staff, responding to client scheduling requests, supervising and training other members of the Rostering team and optimising staff working hours. Your expert problem solving skills will be used to develop rostering solutions in a timely and accurate manner. You will use your strong communication skills to build enduring partnership with our clients and the Jewish Care team.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in rostering staff in the home care environment
  • Customer focussed, strong communication skills and able to relate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with Procura, our rostering system
  • Team management including performance and development
  • Resilient and able to troubleshoot challenges and resolve complaints
