About the Role

Family by Family’s (FbyF) vision is to see all families thrive, not just survive. The Kids Focused Coach is responsible for leading and supporting the kids coaching team that increases the capacity of kids to be change-makers within their own and other families. The Kids Focused Coach and their team motivate, inspire, problem-solve with families and their children who have faced many different challenges and stresses in their lives, ranging from experiencing social isolation through to engagement with the child protection system. The Kids Focused Coach facilitates, rather than drives change.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience working with families and their children,as well as:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Teaching, equivalent degree or equivalent experience skills
  • Experience working with families in the context of family support and/or crisis support
  • Experience in engaging children in activity design and learning
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people, families, and communities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in leading teams, ideally across different locations
