We are currently seeking pro-active, organised and customer focused applicants for the position of Business Development Coordinator.

The Business Development Coordinator ensures the efficient operation of the Greater Shepparton Business Centre (GSBC) including marketing and promotion of the Centre and its services, facility and tenancy management in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and maintenance requirements.

The Coordinator also provides support to the Economic Development Department’s overarching objectives of business retention, expansion and attraction and manages several programs aimed at education, business development and networking.

Other duties will include:

  • Support the Manager Economic Development and Team Leader Business and Industry Development with small business support and referral, research and statistical collation, business networks, marketing events and industry visits.
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly eNewsletter promoting Council’s projects, networking opportunities and grants programs.
  • Liaise with LaTrobe University, GOTAFE and Melbourne University regarding the development of courses and research programs which match the needs of the Goulburn Valley Regions including health and aged care.
  • Work with Small Business Victoria to coordinate the delivery of the workshops program.
  • Assist in the preparation of funding applications, acquittals, submissions and proposals as identified.
  • Support education providers as required regarding the attraction of students from local high schools.
  • Coordinate the attraction of workshops to the Business Centre to enhance development opportunities for local business.
  • Actively participate in Small Business Centres Victoria network.
  • Coordination of the GSCC New Business Grant Program

Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period. During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
