HammondCare is opening a brand-new Social and Respite Cottage in Goulburn in August for our local elderly community.

  • Small home like environment, non-clinical setting & 2 staff to 4 guests
  • Flexibility with set shifts - Morning, Afternoon and Evening
  • No experience needed - we offer comprehensive orientation and training
What is a Social & Respite Cottage?

Our Cottage is a home like environment where guests are treated as individuals. Guests can choose to relax or participate in activities and care is tailored to individual needs. Nutritious home cooked meals are also served throughout the day.

What a Care Worker does in our Social & Respite Cottage?

  • The cottages provide guests with individualised support from our team and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights
  • Provide Morning tea, lunch, dessert and drinks for Guests in the Cottage
  • Enjoy organising and participating in daily activities with the guests either onsite or locally
  • We have shifts available 0700-1530, 0700-1530, 1515-2115, 1530-2130 + S/O or 2115-0715

What do you need to join our team?

No formal qualification necessary, however Certificate III Aged Care is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and have a hands on and can do attitude
  • Basic knowledge of (or willingness to gain knowledge of) People living with dementia
  • Hold a current drivers licence and safe driving record
  • Have empathy and compassion to the people we serve
