  • Employment Term: Secure Permanent Full time
  • Location: Central Queensland
  • Remuneration: $42.10 - $46.05 per hour + 9.5% Super + NFP Salary Packaging + Fleet Car + Penalties & Allowances

We’re seeking applications from self-directed Physiotherapists, preferably with aged or community care experience to join our Central Queensland Allied Health Team.

This is a great opportunity for a Physiotherapist looking to secure a permanent contract in a leading aged care provider setting new standard in how community care is delivered.

You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, genetic conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client’s quality of life!

Working across our facilities and client’s homes, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs, helping clients to manage their movement, pain, balance and manual handling. This will include:

  • Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
  • Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
  • Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
  • Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

What you’ll need

You’ll be passionate about providing exceptional clinical treatment and therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve their independence. You’ll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day to day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients! You’ll present with:

  • Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience within an Aged Care or Acute setting
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
  • Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.
