Develop and deliver key credit control processes to ensure that Royal Freemasons continues to work in accordance with operating principles, budgets and aged care standards.

The Role

As The Credit Officer You Will Be Responsible For
  • Review debts and negotiate payment plans
  • Debt collection for Royal Freemasons Ltd (Metro & Regional Victoria)
  • Liaise with residents, their families and internal staff across sites within Victoria
  • Communicate with external providers such as Medicare, DHS and Centrelink
  • Monthly Excel reporting
  • Processing information using MS Office & finance software systems
  • Provide best customer service and procedures
  • Working in an open, supportive and cooperative manner with other employees

And Experience
  • Demonstrated solid experience in credit control (ideally aged care)
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Technology One experience (advantage not mandatory)
  • E-Case experience (advantage)
  • Knowledge of Aged care fees & charges
  • Empathetic and patient personality, particularly with older people and low income earners.
  • Negotiation skills to produce successful outcomes
  • Experience with VCAT applications/attendance (advantage)
  • Experience with escalation of debt to Legal action/external debt collection
  • High level of reconciliation skills and face to face debt collection skills
  • Ability to solve and bad debt and make recommendations
  • High level of attention to detail
