Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service -Monash Health (VPRS-MH) is a large interdisciplinary team based at Monash Children's Hospital with both inpatient beds and a large ambulatory program. VPRS is a state wide specialist service which caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents recovering from major injury, illness and elective procedures aimed at functional maximisation.

About You

You will be a highly experienced paediatric/rehabilitation Speech Pathologist with experience in managing children with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and other general rehabilitation needs. You will have experience in working within an interdisciplinary team and be committed to translating best practice knowledge into service delivery.

The role provides on-site education support to entry to practice graduate mental health, at their place of work, to ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services that are recovery oriented and inclusive of carers/families

Your Contribution

• Experience in working with and supporting entry to practice mental health nurses


• A passion for mental health nursing education


• Working as a registered nurse with a specialist qualification in mental health nursing for a minimum for three years


• Capacity to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders


• Autonomous and demonstrated capacity to work independently


• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively


• Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and for team members


• A current Victorian Driver’s License, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport

Your new team

The Medical Workforce and Education Unit is a collaborative team, supporting both the junior and senior medical workforce as well as medical education

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

• Complete designated administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner


• Support the workforce managers and co-ordinators


• Co-ordinate interview panels


• Assist with contract generation and follow up


• Assist with collation and follow up of relevant documents for on-boarding new staff members

Your Contribution

• A demonstrated history of strong customer service


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new tasks
